Biggest local food show marks 18 years

Filipino Food Category - PCCWidely known as the biggest and perhaps one of the most effective food shows in the country, the World Food Expo celebrates 18 years of servicing the F&B industry from August 1 to 4 in two simultaneous venues: the SMX Convention Center in Pasay and World Trade Center Manila.

Once again, travel the culinary world for four days as WOFEX becomes the gathering place not just for the F&B industry stakeholders, but also the hospitality industry, as it features on its second year The Hotel Summit and Expo.

Aside from its very strong local base of exhibitors, source and network with companies from all over the world at the Foreign Pavilion with over 14 countries showcasing their products at the World Trade Center

WOFEX University is the advanced learning platform of WOFEX which offers courses taught by practicing professionals, giving its audience an experience-based education and practical tips learned from the workplace.

The Philippine Culinary Cup (PCC), the country’s most prestigious culinary competition, is held concurrently with WOFEX and is the only food competition endorsed by the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS). Now on its ninth year,  PCC consistently attracts many foreign teams who battle it out with some of the best hotels, restaurants and culinary schools in the Philippines. Truly, the PCC is where the best meet to compete.

Another highlight of the show is the Kitchen Theater where well-known chefs share their skills to eager visitors as the latest F&B products and techniques are demonstrated throughout the four-day event.

This year, WOFEX also proudly launches the Philippine Sustainable Gastronomy Congress, to be held August 2 and 3 at the SMX Convention Center, whose objective is to have a continuing conversation on culinary and agricultural tourism and how best to support sustainable farming. Slow Food in the Philippines partners with WOFEX for this Congress, as it brings forth relevant issues and distinguished speakers, focusing especially on food as a solution for climate change.
