Blend your own whisky with Johnnie Walker

While Johnnie Walker needs no further introduction to drinkers and non-drinkers alike, the whisky maker’s newest venture in Southeast Asia is something whisky aficionados will want to learn about.

The name to remember is Jim Beveridge, expert beverage brewer and Master Blender at Johnnie Walker. And thanks to Beveridge, esteemed Filipinos will soon enjoy Johnnie Walker’s John Walker & Sons Signature Blend — a whisky blend makes it possible for anyone to to design a drink beginning from taste, fragrance, texture, to bottling style and design. Think of the experience as finally getting a hold of that beautiful, limited edition bottle and making it the crowning glory of your shelf of fine collectibles.

Among the seven million or so casks that Johnnie Walker uses to distill its whisky, the whisky used in Signature Blend drinks come from only their rarest ones housed in Scotland. As a by-invitation only experience, Beveridge helps guests customize their whisky by creating sample blends for them that they can further personalize throughout the process.

One man in the country has already been gifted with the unparalleled experience. Dr. Reynaldo Odulio, owner of Wheeltek Motor Sales Corp., designed the first ever Signature Blend in Southeast Asia. Odulio is a man who had humble beginnings selling motorcycles in his garage and who now operates 200 branches nationwide.

Diageo Philippines general manager Jon Good adds: “Dr. Odulio’s story resonates greatly with John Walker’s story. He is a self-made man who is fueled  by passion and a relentless pursuit for excellence.”

“This Signature Blend is a priceless family legacy. It will always remind us to keep going and to keep persevering,” Dr. Odulio concludes.

Diageo Philippines is the official Johnnie Walker distributor in the country.
