Charriol on women empowerment

A woman’s confidence and trust in herself is enhanced by knowing she is beautiful. But the true foundation of her self-assurance and the secret to what keeps her standing tall is what lies underneath the surface.

Luxury accessory maker Charriol knows this well, and has partnered with The Foundation for Professional Training, Inc. (FPTI) to help educate more Filipino women who will hopefully, eventually embody this. As a major sponsor in PeopleAsia’s Women of Style and Substance 2016 Awards Night held on Sept. 26, Charriol witnessed the recognition of women who have steered their lives towards success and have reached great heights. They share the dream that many other Filipinas can, indeed, become women of style and substance.

FTPI is a non-governmental organization established in 1982 that focuses on the development of approaches to informal and formal education for women and manages training centers offering technical-vocational programs (as pictured below). In the Philippines, most FTPI training is geared towards food and beverage services and the culinary arts where graduates have successfully found employment in the hospitality and F&B industries.

Until Oct. 30, 2016, Charriol will donate P1,000 for every timepiece sold in any of its Charriol branches nationwide. Proceeds will be used to help fund FPTI students’ education.
