The iPhone 7, 7 Plus and new Apple watches officially arrive in Manila

New Apples have finally hit the ground in Manila — and their fans, needless to say, hit the ground running to get them! Tech-savvy Filipinos saw their patience rewarded last night at the Power Mac Center, Greenbelt 3, during the shop’s Midnight Launch Party for the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and new Apple Watch.

It didn’t matter that the event was a Thursday night and the queue to the store turned into a winding coil even before sundown. Light cocktails, bottles of water and even J.Co donuts were passed around the eager crowd to keep their strength up!  Not the kind of people to be behind on the latest trends or be discouraged by long waiting lines, Filipinos always stay on top of the gadget game.

The Power Mac Center closed at 4 p.m. on Nov. 10 for staff to rev up for the night’s party, complete with a sound crew prepping the store’s front to transform into a mini sound stage for the night’s acts.

By 10 p.m., Local artists CRWN x Jess Connelly and BP Valenzuela’s beats and voices permeated the air with guests and curious onlookers whipping out their iPhones to text their friends about the awesome sets, snap selfies with the artists, capture the moment on video and post it all online.

All of it just goes to show how much we technology has become an inseparable part of our lives.

Spotted mingling with the thickening crowd were basketball star Jeric Teng, hosts Sam YG and Marc Nelson, musician Champ Lui Pio and model Chienna Filomeno.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus are two Apple’s newest iterations of one of the world’s most popular mobile phones. They come in finishes of rose gold, gold, silver, black and jet Black, and have storage capacities starting from 32GB up to a huge 256GB.

Most notably, Apple states that these newest models are splash, water and dust resistant, and also feature more advanced 12 megapixel camera technology that allows you to level up your Instagram and Facebook posts.

The new Apple Watch series might just become your newest workout buddy with its technology built to monitor different aspects of its users’ fitness. A built-in GPS, heart rate censor, breathe app and an activity recorder and achievement tracker are just some of the new nifty things the newest Apple Watches feature.

The iPhone 7, iPhone 7 plus and new Apple Watch series are now available nationwide. Visit the nearest Power Mac Store near you for more information.
