The Thor star and Hugo Boss endorser reveals his simple, but effective skin-care routine–using coconut oil, lots of it.
While most film stars follow a strict skincare routine of ten or more products to maintain their youthful glowing skin, Australian actor Chris Hemsworth, who’s best known for his portrayal of demigod-slash-superhero Thor, on the contrary, swears by coconut oil as his go-to product in keeping his skin virtually poreless and dewy.
Coconut oil, according to Chris, keeps his skin from feeling dry, as it is incredibly hydrating.
“I take a hot shower to wake up and I use a lot of coconut oil. One, I love the smell and the taste of it, but also where we live is quite tropical and hot and it certainly does a lot for my skin.”
As Chris spends a lot of time surfing, his wife Elsa Pataky always reminds him to take care of his skin and use plenty of moisturizers because the salt water and sun can be quite tough on the skin.
“My wife also gives me a lot of the Crème de La Mer moisturizing cream, and I want to eat that stuff it smells so damn good. I use it sometimes, because my wife says to me ‘I’m older than you, but I look younger due to this cream.'”
After his short and rather basic skincare routine in the morning, he finishes his grooming by wearing a mild, masculine scent.
As a successful actor, husband, and a father of three children, is it really possible to have a skin like Chris that looks like it’s not aging by just using coconut oil?
