With the success of its MyTown brand, the Philippines Urban Living Solutions (PULS) introduces its newest luxury dormitory, MyTown Auckland, the 14th building of the largest co-living brand in the country.

Since the launch of its pilot building, MyTown Paris, in 2012, MyTown has expanded to 13 more buildings and will soon open two more MyTown properties.

The success of MyTown hinges on the previously untapped market of young professionals who are looking for both functional and affordable housing.

MyTown’s co-living units, which are shared rental spaces, provide working professionals with a much convenient and comfortable alternative to bed spacing houses. The condo-style buildings are fully-furnished and have common areas designed for communal interaction.

“Before we even built the first MyTown building, we made it a point, as a mover, to get into the mind of our target public by asking them what they wanted and needed in a housing solution,” says PULS chief executive officer Mark Koojiman.

“As a result, we can now offer the young professionals a co-living solution that is healthy for their work-life balance as well as their wallet.”

Meanwhile, for PULS group director Jelmer Ikink, MyTown is all about making sure tenants have a home away from home without the hassle of daily commute.

“Manila is known to have long commutes and limited transportation options,” he says. “And that is not something you can solve very quickly.”

Ikink knows that “commuting is not cheap and can be very stressful,” especially for those who work in Makati and Bonifacio Global City (BGC).

“With us, you’re at work in minutes. We’re saving you money in addition to saving you time,” he adds.

MyTown Auckland, which is named after New Zealand’s “City of Sails,” offers individuals the same “first-class living experience” that the MyTown brand has been known for—aside from its fun city themes. And just like the other MyTown buildings, it is located in Makati, adjacent to BGC and approximately 1.5 kilometers away from the Makati Central Business District (CBD).

The seven-story building houses 325 beds and provides a lovely view of the Manila Golf Club. Individuals may choose from a private, two-bed, four-bed and six-bed sharing unit. It is also fully equipped with amenities such as WiFi, a gym, canteen, yoga area and “open air cinema.” A laundromat and supermarket will also open on the ground floor.

For its part, MyTown has become, in the words of its group director, “the young professional’s partner” for thriving in city life with the kind of accommodation and amenities it offers. In addition to that, MyTown is about building relationships, says Jelmer. “At MyTown, you’ll play, learn, meet new friends.”
