Bang & Olufsen recently showcased its newly redesigned boutique at Shangri-La Plaza Mall. The 140-sq. m. showroom is one of the brand’s first locations in Asia to boast of the latest look, which reflects the excellence and luxury associated with the Danish company. This sensory store for cutting-edge devices features clean and immaculately white walls and warm parquet floors in a classic herringbone pattern. In keeping with its new digs, Bang & Olufsen is also showcasing its latest products,  which range from flat screen TVs, portable and floor speakers, headsets and earphones.

BeSound Edge: Reimagining the home speaker

Created in collaboration with globally acclaimed designer Michael Anastassiades, BeoSound Edge transforms the mundane to music mastery while adding aesthetic value to the home. The speaker’s circular shape allows for two placement options: on the floor or mounted on the wall like a train station clock.

Proximity sensors detect when you get close to the speaker, discreetly illuminating the aluminum touch interface. Volume can be adjusted by rolling the BeoSound Edge forward and backward. With Directional Sound Control, BeoSound Edge allows the user to define the direction where the sound radiates from, creating two acoustic fronts, which means a room can be divided into an active or passive listening area. Alternatively, you can choose to blast true 360-degree room-filling sound from both sides of the speakers to fill the entire space.

BeoSound Edge also employs cutting-edge acoustic innovation to deliver a powerful and accurate listening experience. Through B&O’s latest patent for the world’s first Active Bass Port, the speaker provides perfect potent bass at high volumes and maintains accurate bass at low volumes.  Also included is a 10” woofer bass driver on one side, which has an innovatively slim design and long excursion, while both sides of the speaker enjoy a dedicated 4” midrange and a ¼” tweeter.

The BeoSound Edge has a timeless circular design, which creates a proud yet subtle statement. It perfectly blends design and technology, as it is part of the BeoLink Multiroom family and supports Airplay 2, GoogleCast, DLNA and Bluetooth.

Delivering on the promise to bring voice to the company’s range of speakers and headsets, Bang & Olufsen introduces BeoSound 1 GVA and BeoSound 2 GVA. The two new smart speakers beautifully combine Google’s Voice Assistant (GVA) expertise with Bang & Olufsen’s unrelenting focus on sound excellence and superior quality.

Designed by Torsten Valeur from David Lewis Designers, BeoSound 1 GVA is crafted for portability and comes with a rechargeable battery while BeoSound 2 GVA needs a permanent power connection. The black composite top functions as a minimalistic control panel, which you simply turn like a wheel to adjust the volume.

The speakers also have built-in sensors, which allow you to swipe either left or right to play the next or previous track. Another amazing feature is done via Google Assistant from streaming a radio station, playing your favorite playlist, reading out the weather report, or reminding you what is in your calendar for the day.
