Since its official launch late last year, TokyoGLAM has always been inspired by the Japanese’s beauty products and the techniques they utilize.
“Being in Tokyo multiple times a year, I’ve been able to experience the exemplary and incomparable eyelash and nail services. Their standards and service are great and consistent, I was inspired by this and saw it as an opportunity to start TokyoGLAM,” shares TokyoGLAM founder Michelle Takijima.
By incorporating systematic procedures from one of the world’s fashion epicenters, TokyoGLAM uses authentic Japanese techniques and technologies. These techniques are frequently updated, and the equipment, furniture, and materials used for the services are all from Japan.
All technicians are highly skilled and trained by Japanese experts that Michelle flew into Manila before the pandemic. Healthy and long-lasting, eyelash extensions and nail gel materials are first-class Japanese products with the highest quality.
With the efforts to protect its staff and clients, Michelle states, “As the circumstances have changed during the pandemic, we went as far as providing home-service for our clients to keep them safe. TokyoGLAM has only grown more as we move forward.” Initiating new safety protocols to ensure health safety while inside the salon.
The whole facility is cleaned and sanitized daily. All the equipment and materials are sanitized before being used and immediately afterward. The staff is appropriately dressed with personal protective equipment (PPE). The clients are also provided with PPE, if they feel comfortable wearing them, during the procedures.
To observe social distancing, the salon provides private rooms for its clients. Michelle adds, “We originally had ample space between clients even before the pandemic. That is why social-distancing is less of a problem for us. In the new normal, TokyoGLAM brings beauty and confidence to women in these trying times. Since people are wearing masks nowadays, their eyes and nails can still be seen. We want to give them beauty and comfort to help them ease their anxieties.”
Also, TokyoGLAM offers packages that cover the eyelashes and nails, a simultaneous treatment that shortens a client’s appointment to minimize exposure of being outdoors.
