Filipino photographer Filbert Kung describes Captain America actor Chris Evans as a “down to earth” guy, during their two-hour shoot in Boston for Smart’s “Live Smarter for a Better Tomorrow” campaign.
“While the shoot was initially set for LA, we had to move to another state that was safer that time [in terms of COVID-19]. Plus, he’s from Boston so it’s more convenient,” says Filbert in an interview with PeopleAsia. Filbert and his team were commissioned to take photos of the Hollywood Star for print and digital components of the Smart “Live Smarter for a Better Tomorrow” Campaign.
While it was their first official photo shoot together, it wasn’t the first time Filbert saw the Hollywood heartthrob. “Ive seen him before when I photographed for the Golden Globes before and the foreign press always described him consistently: down to earth!” adds Filbert, who also covers red carpet events in the US.
Joining Filbert in the shoot were Justin Lynn and Shades of StyleMake Up for wardrobe, Jay Wejebe for makeup and Kristin Berge-Wahl for hair. JC Cerilla and David Rivera were in charge of digital coverage, while Publicity Asia’s Joyce A. Ramirez served as producer.
