Three of the country’s most photographed women today—beauty queens Rabiya, Bea and Celeste—step into a new universe, as Renaissance photographer BJ Pascual captures them in a totally different light as Disney princesses wearing the latest ingenue-inspired makeup collection from BYS.

To take this creative collaboration to new heights, BYS Philippines has tapped photographer, author, Instagram influencer and YouTube sensation BJ Pascual.
BJ, who has made an indelible mark in the local fashion and creative landscapes, is no stranger to such endeavors, having had his works featured in countless magazines and high-profile campaigns. To realize his vision, BJ, in turn, collaborated with makeup artist Anthea Bueno, hair stylist Renz Pangilinan, production designer Princess Barretto and stylist Eldzs Mejia.
BJ brings to life the BYS Disney Princess Collection through a campaign featuring pageant royalties, brought together for the first time: Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo; Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Bea Gomez: and Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi.
BJ captured the three beauty queens in Disney Princess-inspired looks: Rabiya styled as Ariel, Bea channeling Belle, and Celeste stepping into Cinderella’s shoes.
“I took a page from the Romantic Era when there was an artistic, literary, musical and intellectual movement in Europe, and wove this in around the three heroines and how we define women’s roles in society now—taking the lead in adjusting to new realities and challenges. The old damsel-in-distress narrative is out and we hope to show that in the images,” BJ reveals.
