Running tomorrow and Saturday, Breakthrough: Unfolding Stories of Hope and Transformation, a two-day circus show at Ayala Triangle Gardens, seeks to promote the protection of children’s rights through performances by members of Cirquera de Cameleon and other guest performers from France. In celebration of its 25th anniversary and the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between France and the Philippines, Cameleon Association presents a circus show that could bring about a “breakthrough” in someone’s life.
Dubbed as Breakthrough: Unfolding Stories of Hope and Transformation, the hour-long spectacle, which will happen at the Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati on Decemer 16 and 17, 4 p.m., will feature 18 girls from Cirquera de Cameleon, seven students from Ecole Nationale des Arts du Cirque de Rosny-sous-Bois (ENACR) and five French puppeteers from Les Grandes Personnes.
Breakthrough: Unfolding Stories of Hope and Transformation aims to showcase the transformative power of Cirquera de Cameleon and the rehabilitation efforts of Cameleon Association for girls who survived sexual abuse.
Through their performances, members can use their advanced technical skills and leadership potential, using the circus as a medium to promote children’s rights and send a message of hope and inspiration to their audience.
The show will be free to the public, but donations, both in cash and in kind, to support Cameleon Association’s advocacies, including Cirquera de Cameleon, are welcome.
