People never forget the first time they ever stood in front of one of the world’s most famous artworks — that feeling of creative sparks flying as a new world opened before them. Well, such moments are now easier to relive thanks to the next chapter of the Swatch Art Journey.
Going big with five capsule collections released from mid-March to May, the latest offerings from the Swiss watch giant takes watch — and art — aficionados on an adventure with the help of 10 colorful and playful masterpieces. Featuring the works of Botticelli, Lichtenstein, Magritte and more, these watches showcase the artists’ boldness and give their works yet another well-deserved moment on your very wrist.
The Swatch Art Journey Collection was launched last March 16, followed by another release that will be unveiled at a later date.
The Swatch love affair with art started in 1985 with the first of a long line of Art Special watches. Always looking for new ways to democratize the art world, Swatch joined forces with world- famous museums to recreate some of their most powerful artworks as part of a new Museum Journey series.
Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam (2018) and Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid (2018) were among the first venues to open their doors to Swatch, swiftly followed by the Musée du Louvre in Paris (2019), MoMA in New York (2021), and Centre Pompidou in Paris (2022).
Swatch is available at the Swatch Shops in SM Megamall, Glorietta 4, Greenbelt 5, Rockwell Power Plant Mall, TriNoma, Alabang Town Center, SM Mall of Asia, SM City North EDSA, SM Southmall, Shangri-La Plaza, Robinsons Place Manila, and SM City Cebu.
