There’s a community that’s flying two flags this June – one with the national colors of red, blue and yellow, and another that’s quirkier, and should we say, queerer, with its rainbow stripes that are louder and prouder than ever.
Wear your stripes proudly, and with the Philippine LGBT community and LoveYourself Inc., celebrate Pride Month this June!
On June 11, LoveYourself, Inc. invites everyone to a gallery of work by Filipino visual artists, some of whom are volunteers of LoveYourself, Inc. The event is at 6p.m. and will be held at the Pineapple Lab, Makati, free of charge.
Pride Night is driven by noble causes: continue the fight that LGBT communities, organizations and advocates have been winning to stump the stigma attached to HIV and AIDS, encourage healthier and safer sexual lifestyles and uplift the LGBT community’s morale.
Guests can also expect to be dazzled by performances from the experimental dance theatre group Daloy Dance Company, Rak of Aegis actor Philippe Salvador Palmos, Mark Ghosn of Ampalaya Monologue and other artistic acts lined up for this night of free expression.

An awards ceremony will also pay tribute to individuals, organizations and health clinics that have promoted these advocacies despite the many difficulties they face.
Festivities will come to a close with cocktails at midnight in the Unity Pride Party and to welcome Philippine Independence Day.
LoveYourself Inc., a non-profit and 100% volunteerism group, is the leading organization in promoting HIV testing and awareness in the country.
