‘Watch’ & learn at Singapore Watch Fair 2023 in Resorts World Sentosa

From iconic Swiss watch brands to independent watchmakers, to rockstar collectors and more, the stage is definitely set as Singapore Watch Fair (SWF) 2023 heads to premier lifestyle destination Resorts World Sentosa from Oct. 18 to 21.

Dubbed as Asia’s “most prestigious consumer watch fair,” SWF 2023 is set to take centerstage at the Equarius Hotel Ballroom from Oct. 18 to 21. Staged in cooperation with the Singapore Tourism Board, SWF 2023 presents yet another highlight for shoppers, collectors and watch connoisseurs who will attend UltraLuxe 2023 — the 10-day social and lifestyle festival that redefines luxury by uniting niche brands and discerning shoppers in a first-of-its-kind event.

There, watch aficionados, collectors and even casual visitors can immerse themselves in a world of exquisite pieces from 20 brands and independent watchmakers, including Cultured Watch, Sartory Billard, Ludovic Ballouard, L’Epée 1839, LANG 1943, Zehua Tan and 2ToneVintage Watches, to name a few.

SWF 2023 is also set to unveil a treasure trove of luxe timepieces valued at US$25 million. Among these horological marvels is the Ludovic Ballouard UD Osmium — a showstopping piece made from osmium, the rarest precious metal on Earth, and whose distinctive upside-down hour markers are crafted meticulously from onyx.

Rockstar collectors Sandro Fratini and Ali Nael, in collaboration with FutureGrail, will also unveil The Essence of Time Museum. Curated by horological multi-hyphenate Arnaud Tellier, former director and curator of the Patek Philippe Museum in Geneva and FutureGrail’s key advisor, the museum will enable watch collectors to gain deeper appreciation for iconic pieces and arm themselves with key knowledge on how to build an investment-grade collection.

Guests who visit the Essence of Time Museum will surely revel in the sight of rare and historical timepieces, displayed alongside limited edition watches and even an impressive array of enamel art from Vacheron Constantin, Patek Philippe and Rolex.

Collectors will also enjoy an exclusive glimpse into the upcoming November auction, as Christie’s Hong Kong is set to host a preview of their Autumn Auction at SWF.

Meanwhile, prominent industry voices and female horological experts such as TickTock Belles, Dubai Watch Club Girls and Kuwait Watch Club Ladies will also unite to champion watch collecting for women.

SWF’s Talking Time panel sessions, on the other hand, will also delve deep into the world of horology as top watchmakers, esteemed horological experts and renowned collectors Gary Getz, Arnaud Tellier and Dr. Bernard Cheong share their insights.

AXA will also present a dialogue on the rise of luxury watches as alternative assets, while Atelier Wen and Zehua Tan — two of Asia’s finest watchmakers — will discuss the “Rise of Chinese Watchmaking” in the realm of timekeeping and luxury.

Nelson Lee, founder and festival director of Singapore Watch Fair said, “Our unparalleled curation ensures that watch enthusiasts are treated to a collection of unique timepieces. These watchmakers take time out of their busy schedules to join us in Singapore for this annual event, where they personally present their craft and stories — an invaluable experience that we are proud to offer. We are thrilled to partner with Resorts World Sentosa, a world-class venue that aligns with our commitment to craftsmanship and unforgettable experiences.”
