A year after Newport World Resorts chairman Kevin L. Tan announced its arrival to the Philippines, the highly anticipated Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill Philippines at Newport World Resorts finally opened its doors to the public last Aug. 31.

This signature concept from the internationally renowned, multi-Michelin-starred chef traces its roots from the royal borough of Chelsea and the affluent neighborhood of Mayfair in the heart of London. The new restaurant in the Philippines is the second Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill in Asia.

The stylish, contemporary restaurant has found a home within the country’s premier integrated resort. It is highlighted by interiors that pay homage to its cool Britannia roots from its darkwood panels with cherry red and forest green accents. The 400-square-meter space is both upscale and understated. Decorated with imported Spanish tiles, hand-laid wood panels and bricks, as well as bespoke Philippine-made furniture, Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill Philippines is a masterclass in elegance.

Quintessential British cuisine

Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill brings quintessential British cuisine into the exciting local culinary scene. The restaurant features classic dishes like the Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips, a battered Pacific grouper served with crispy fried potato fries.

There’s also Gordon’s Signature Beef Wellington — a slice of perfectly cooked beef tenderloin wrapped in a layer of mushroom and truffle duxelles, encased within a buttery gold, flaky pastry, served with creamed potato and drizzled with red wine jus.

The Crispy Crab Cake & Sturia Oscietra Caviar is a balance of crisp and creamy crab cake topped with a perfectly poached rich yolk egg and Hollandaise that adds richness and depth of flavor to the dish. From the charcoal grill, expertly grilled, premium cuts of steaks take the spotlight, while signature mains offer a curated list of specialties that will excite gourmands.

For dessert, diners must try the decadent Sticky Toffee Pudding or the Caramelized Apple Tart Tatin for a fitting end to an excellent culinary experience.

An impressive black polished Spanish-marble centerpiece bar greets guests on arrival, perfectly set against shiny navy-blue tiles with gold-accented shelves. The extensive bar list features iconic cocktails including the Chelsea Royal Garden—a mix of St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, fresh green apple, Prosecco and lemon bitters; the Paradiso—a tropics-inspired cocktail served to the table within a fresh coconut; and the Agave Sunset—a must-try of tequila, Campari, pineapple and lime juice and pasteurized egg are definite crowd-pleasers.

Located on the second floor of the Newport Grand Wing, Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill Philippines at Newport World Resorts is open daily from 12p.m. to 3p.m. for lunch and 6p.m. to 10p.m. for dinner, dress code is smart casual.
