Tiffany & Co. welcomes the Yuletide season with an eight-meter-tall Christmas tree

All that glitter has a name, and it’s called Tiffany. And this year, the iconic brand has gladly stepped up to light up and add cheer to the Greenbelt 3 gardens with an all-illuminated Christmas tree.

Tiffany marketing director Patrick Da Silva recently welcomed guests to Greenbelt 3 to officially witness the momentous light-up.

Gracing the event alongside Da Silva and Mariana Zobel de Ayala, Ayala Land Inc. senior VP were celebrities James Reid, Sarah Lahbati, Michelle Dee, Liz Uy, Kylie Versoza, Tim Yap and Jasmine Curtis-Smith.

How different is the Tiffany Christmas tree from trees of yore? Instead of a star, it features the brand’s iconic Bird on a Rock design as a tree topper. First introduced in 1965, the Bird on a Rock maintains its beauty and timelessness.

Glass gems and pink sapphire line the tree from its base to its top, while the base of the tree features 480 backlit glass prisms. The entire setup reportedly took an entire week to assemble after various parts and components arrived from Milan, Italy.

The development is also a milestone of sorts for the country, as it marked the first time Tiffany & Co. went out of its way, at least in Southeast Asia, to brighten hearts this season with its signature Christmas tree.
