South Korean cuisine takes centerstage at MGallery’s “The Admiral’s Travels” series

Admiral Hotel Manila – MGallery continues with its signature culinary journey, “The Admiral’s Travels,” with the launch of its second destination: “Taste of South Korea.” The celebration kicked off recently in collaboration with chef Lily Min, Korean cuisine specialist and instructor at the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines.

The launch was held at the hotel’s iconic rooftop dining venue, Admiral Club Manila Bay, featuring the chef’s heirloom and signature Korean home-style dishes. Guests can now enjoy these authentic flavors as part of Admiral Club’s lunch and dinner buffet throughout May.

Following the successful debut of Taste of Thailand in April – featuring guest chefs from Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit – this signature campaign continues to bring the world’s flavors to Manila. Inspired by the legendary Admiral’s global explorations, the Admiral brings back home the stories and reimagines them through his dining ateliers.

Chef Lily Min is an author of well-known publications such as Preo & Dios Cookbook, Easy Korean Food 114, and the K-drama Cookbook. She has established Lily Lab to bring authentic Korean retail and deli products to Filipino homes. With over three decades of culinary experience, chef Lily imparts her expertise through cooking classes at the Korean Culture Center.

“May 8 is especially meaningful for me as it is also the celebration of Parents’ Day in Korea,” shared the chef during the launch. “As an important family event, I am honored to share my heirloom recipes with the guests of the Admiral Hotel. I am grateful for the support of the hotel team, especially the chefs headed by their executive chef Mok Chee Wah, for giving me this opportunity to put forward the Korean culinary heritage.”

Admiral Hotel general manager Matthieu Busschaërt remarked, “Together with my team, our commitment has always been to elevate the guest experience through best-in-class hospitality and gastronomy. Partnering with the finest culinary artisans like chef Lily Min allows us to do that and bring authentic global flavors to the Admiral’s table. We are also thrilled to be the only hotel in Manila, once again recommended by the Michelin Guide 2025.”
