Since its establishment in 1979, the Philippine-produced Agora Awards have recognized and praised the most outstanding individuals, groups and organizations who have contributed to the marketing industry in the Philippines.
The marketing profession has since become more sophisticated and multi-faceted, and so the Agora awards has widened its breadth to include categories for export marketing and entrepreneurship, as well as a special award for marketing company of the year.
More impressively, the Agora Awards have also gone international and have been gladly adopted by other countries in the Asia Pacific region. The international Agora Awards as known as the Asia Pacific Agora Awards for Marketing Excellence overseas.

This move to the international stage was made possible by Philippine Marketing Association (PMA) who founded the Asia Pacific Marketing Federation in 1992 along with 12 other national marketing associations from neighboring countries.
This year, the Agora Awards honors the 43rd recipient of the Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Management, Joseph Chay Cruel.
Joseph is currently the vice president for marketing of Asia Brewery non-alco business, business development and international business and is recognized for the widely successful marketing strategies he employed for Vitamilk — a soy milk based product that’s gained popularity with both children and adults.
Now on its 37th year, the Agora Awards continues to highlight and reward Filipino ingenuity and innovation in the field of marketing.
