The United Nations’ 70th anniversary was celebrated by SM with the lighting of the SM Mall of Asia globe. Members of the diplomatic corps, UN officials and goodwill ambassadors gathered together to celebrate this momentous occasion, highlighting the UN’s dynamic partnership with the Philippines.
The iconic globe of SM Mall of Asia turned blue to commemorate seven decades of collaboration for humanitarian development and peacekeeping. The event showcased the progress made in the past 20 years between the UN and the Philippines. The anniversary theme was “Strong UN, Better World,†with an interactive and a photo exhibit of the works of different UN agencies in the Philippines shown to the appreciative audience.
