The long wait is finally over, as Shake Shack, the New York-born American fast food chain, officially opens in the Philippines on May 10 at Central Square in Bonifacio Global City.

Known for its 100 percent all-natural Angus beef burgers, griddled flat-top dogs, fresh-made frozen custard, crispy crinkle-cut fries and craft beer, the critically acclaimed burger stand will be the first not only in the Philippines, but also in Southeast Asia.

“As we spent time exploring the unique and eclectic landscape that is Filipino cuisine, we were inspired by the flavors and artisans we met along the way and by the food that they’re passionate about,” says Shake Shack culinary director Mark Rosati during Shake Shack’s press launch.

The country’s first-ever Shack will serve up one-of-a-kind menu items that are unique in the Philippines, including Calamansi Limeade, Uuuube-by Baby and Calamansi Pie Oh My.

“From halo-halo, lechon, adobo and garlic rice to calamansi and ube in every imaginable form, Manila is serious about its love for great food and ingredients! We’re thrilled to introduce our Manila-exclusive menu that features just a few of the flavors and ingredients we fell in love with and are humbled to become part of this vibrant community,” adds Mark.

In keeping with the company’s mission to Stand for Something Good, five percent of sales from Calamansi Pie Oh My support Children’s Hour, which is involved in  education, health and nutrition, child welfare and development for Filipino children in need.
