Aldo, the fast-fashion Canadian shoe brand represented and exclusively distributed in the Philippines by Suyen Corp., has just made its latest offerings for men and women more comfortable – without foregoing style – with the recent introduction of the Pillow Walk technology. For its current fall-winter line, Aldo has further expanded the number of styles, including men’s shoes, that carry the breakthrough feature.
Just what is this thing called Pillow Walk? Simply put, the technology is crafted with dual-density and padded insoles that are specially made to allow the wearer to walk, dance, even sprint on occasion in comfort and stability.
To put the technology to the test, Suyen Corp. insiders recently launched the latest Aldo styles at The Curve in BGC. Several of the country’s fiercest and most fabulous drag queens, wearing some of Aldo’s most iconic of platforms incorporating the Pillow Walk technology, regaled guests during their individual spot numbers. Both performers and shoes survived the test.
The fun and fearless lineup included queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race Philippines Season 1 and Season 2 such as Eva Le Queen, Hana Beshy, Matilduh, OV C*nt and Pricemarrell. By the end of the show, the drag queens and the beauty queens, including Maria Gigante, Tracy Maureen Perez, Anna Valencia and Gabrille Basiano, were all having a good time, posing for pictures together and working the room in their respective Aldo shoes equipped with Pillow Walk technology. – Alex Y.
