Belo Medical Group donates remaining stocks of PPE kits

The Belo Medical Group recently showed its solidarity with the Philippine government and the Filipino people in fighting the coronavirus pandemic. The company, led by Dr. Vicki Belo, recognizes that this crisis is unlike any other. Now more than ever, The Belo Medical Group believes that “it is imperative that we join hands as Filipinos, forget about personal economic gains, and support our government and our people in this fight,” the country’s famed “Doctor to the Stars” said.

As the aesthetic clinic chain’s response to the president’s call, it is donating all its remaining stocks of PPE kits (personal protective dquipment) in all its branches to various hospitals and health centers in need. Moreover, the clinic will continue to donate what is needed as its remaining shipments arrive.

After the President made his plea for private sectors to lend a helping hand, the Belo team handed out its donations in less than 24 hours.

“We, the Belo Medical Group, are also committing to the following: The extension of our full-pay, full-benefits for all our employees despite the work suspension. Early release of our employees’ 13th-month pay and, finally, should the suspension of work last beyond May, a modified ‘no work, with pay’ scheme to help our employees tide (themselves) over during these trying times,” the company said in a statement.

Other than donating its remaining stocks of PPEs, the Belo Medical Group is also donating food packs to select communities in Manila. Moreover, Vicki has also personally donated to a fund intended to buy COVID-19 test kits.
