She had that inborn elegance and gentle demeanor. Our mom was very composed inside and out — a gracious, loving mother who never raised her voice, except when she was singing. She taught us to walk like a lady by keeping our feet and back straight. Often, she reminded us to smile and wear lipstick,” she recalls.
Michelle adds that their mother loved her and her siblings — Jaqui Dayrit, Christine Dayrit, Mark Dayrit and Yvonne Romualdez — so much, that she called them her “five precious jewels.”
Enterprising as she was beautiful, Mila also encouraged her children to memorize the gemstones for each month. “Her happiness was to see her fine jewelry creations worn by her friends and family,” shares Michelle.
