City of Dreams Manila unwraps thoughtful offerings in appreciation of moms on their special day.

Moms deserve a top-notch dining experience and City of Dreams Manila’s award-winning restaurant, Crystal Dragon, recognized for its fine Cantonese and regional Chinese specialties, impresses with its Mother’s Day exclusive ala carte dishes available until May 12 for lunch and dinner.

These include braised bird’s nest in golden broth with Jinhua ham and dry scallop, squirrel sea grouper fish with fragrant spicy sauce; crispy chicken with stuffed prawn mousse and sesame seeds, aromatic braised lobster trails in trio of onions and Chinese thread noodles, and sweetened coconut red bean soup with ube dumpling for dessert.

On their special day on May 12, moms who will dine at Crystal Dragon will receive a complimentary sweet surprise.

Spoil mom to a celebrity-inspired Saturday and Sunday brunch experience at Nobu Manila, highlighting the new-style Japanese cuisine of world-renowned Chef Nobu Matsuhisa. Indulge in unlimited helpings of black cod butter lettuce and signature sashimi trio: tuna matsuhisa, yellow tail jalapeño and salmon karashi su miso – signature specialties offered in all Nobu restaurants around the world.

Not to be missed on the hybrid buffet, which also includes an all-you-can-eat a la carte dishes on Sunday, is a lavish spread that includes a carving station consisting of roasted whole U.S. prime ribeye, smoked beef brisket, and grilled tuna collar; and at the sushi station, fresh slices from a whole salmon. The Saturday brunch will also offer U.S. prime ribeye and porchetta. The a la carte selection will also feature new Nobu-style dishes on Mother’s Day to complement the staple brunch offers of kushiyaki or grilled and skewered meat and vegetables; premium sashimi, sushi and maki roll creations matched with Nobu signature sauces, sous vide pork sisig, salads, tempura, soup and fresh oysters, blue crabs, shrimps and mussels on ice.

Confections like chocolate fountain, cakes, truffle parfait and ice cream complete the spread. Nobu Manila’s Mother’s Day brunch is priced at P4,388 net per person and Nobu Saturday brunch is at P3,499 net per person. Brunch service is from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Nobu’s seven-course dinner tasting menu (P8,871.43 nett per person) is a perfect choice for a dinner date with mom. The seasonal tasting menu offered until the end of June entices with a chef’s choice of zensai followed by engawa (fluke fin) with red onion salsa, soy salt and garlic chips, and a seasonal selection of assorted sushi that comes along with ebi (shrimp) roll in vegetable soup. Hokkigai (surf clam) with creamy sweet chili cilantro; white fish in butter lettuce with garlic aioli and crispy wonton; Poached Salmon with creamy lemon garlic sauce and vegetables with den miso; and sous vide beef tenderloin with sweet soy anticucho, yuzu kocho, grilled asparagus, and crispy shitake come after. The dinner menu concludes with kurogoma rippoutai or black sesame mousse with strawberry gel insert, hazelnut crunch, berry foam, kinako (roasted soybean flour) tuille, and hazelnut crumble.

Nobu’s dinner service is from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday and until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Inspired by the vibrant thanksgiving and harvest fiesta in Lucban, Quezon, the menu, available for the whole month of May only, consists of longganisa spring roll, a delicious combination of ground pork, cream cheese, pimiento aioli, crispy kataifi (phyllo dough) and sayote tops; hardinera wellington, which consists of savory tomato and pork casserole with asparagus and taro root fondant; and crispy pancit lucban, an appetizing medley of crispy fried noodles, crispy pata, prawns, quail eggs and various vegetables.

Haliya is open for dinner from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. from Mondays to Fridays, also at lunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. onwards.
