Dreaming of ‘Hyun:’ What are the guys of CLOY up to during lockdown?

By Hermes Joy Tunac

It looks like the craze over hit K-drama Crash Landing on You is here to stay a little longer. And with the announcement of the extension of the enhanced community quarantine in the Philippines, more and more people are getting onboard in binge-watching (or re-watching!) the series, which remains on the fifth spot of the Top 10 list of most-watched series and movies in the Philippines on Netflix.

After we compiled the most iconic fashion items that lead characters Yoon Ser-ri and Seo Dan wore all throughout the show, it’s time to turn the spotlight on the heartthrobs! If you’re wondering what Captain Ri and his group are up to nowadays, PeopleAsia snooped on the gram to give you the lowdown!

Hyun Bin aka Ri Jeong Hyeok

Although Captain Ri is not on Instagram, we found a fan page that posts a daily dose of Hyun Bin’s dimples and mesmerizing eyes.  Aside from looking oh-so-pretty from every angle, this heartthrob is actually doing something heroic in real life as well.

A report on Koreaboo said that the actor secretly donated to Community Chest of Korea. Hyun Bin also allegedly asked the organization to keep his donation a secret.  He has reportedly donated 200 million won to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Go Seung-joon aka Kim Jung-hyun

Go Seung-joon recently celebrated his birthday obediently wearing a face mask in South Korea! For those who haven’t finished CLOY, please skip this part because of a major spoiler! Did you know that Go Seung-joon didn’t know that his character Kim Jung-hyun will die in the last episode?

In a report from Soompi, Seung-joon said, “To be honest, even up ’till when I received the script for episode 15, I didn’t know that my character would be dying. I was shot at the end of that episode so I asked director Lee Jung Hyo if I was dying and he said, ‘I don’t know, but I don’t think so? Things have only just begun for your character, I’m sure you’ll live.’ But then I read the script for episode 16, and I died. I kept reading till the epilogue hoping that my character would survive, but I was still dead.”

Kim Jung-hyun and Seo Dan didn’t get their happily ever after in the series, but Seo Dan got the revenge she needed, didn’t she?

This new K-Drama series, which Shin Young debuts his lead role, will have eight episodes. Tang Joon Sang aka Junior Soldier Keum Eun Dong

Tang Joon Sang is the youngest in the group and also the clingiest in real life! In an Instagram post, Joon Sang posted a photo of their group with the caption, “I miss you all!” In a report from Hello K Pop, Joon Sang shared that his experience in CLOY left him a blessing through meeting good brothers who love and care for him. Next to Captain Ri, Joon Sang is definitely the sweetest among their group!
