For “coffeeholics,” nothing beats the excitement of going to bed and thinking about the coffee they’re going to drink in the morning. It seems that they’ve decided early on that drinking coffee is a necessary part of their every day – whether it’s a brew to get their engine running in the morning, or a quick espresso shot to pick them up in the afternoon.

This October, in celebration of Philippine Coffee month, the Holiday Inn & Suites Makati proves that there’s more to coffee than just the cup, as they present many ways to enjoy the much-loved beverage. Taking pride in locally produced coffee, the hotel highlights their use of premium Arabica, a high grown dark roast coffee with a balanced acidity and a fuller body, from Sultan Kudarat.

In cooperation with the Philippine Coffee Board and the International Women’s Coffee Alliance, Holiday Inn & Suites Makati unveils a selection of coffee-infused dishes at Flavors Restaurant, specialty coffee concoctions at Citron Café, as well as coffee cocktails at Oz Bar.

Citron Cafe

On the other hand, Citron Café adds some zest to your basic brew with a range of iced coffees to keep you refreshed: the Hanoi-inspired Coconut coffee is a mix of rich coffee, condensed milk and coconut cream; the Mint coffee is a brewed coffee with torn mint leaves and syrup; the Lemon coffee is brightened with a refreshing and summery citrusy flavor; and the sweet and minty Mojito coffee is muddled with espresso and syrup, topped with whole milk.

The coffee party doesn’t just end at your breakfast or lunch table. If you want to unwind after a long, busy day, the Holiday Inn & Suites’ Oz Bar offers a selections of fun coffee cocktails: the Espresso Chocolate Martini is a shot of espresso shaken with vodka, kahlua, chocolate syrup and ice; the Barako Millionaire is a shot of espresso blended with Bacardi, Fundador and condensed milk; and the Affogato is a single shot of espresso shaken with vodka, kahlua, and crème de coco, and poured over with a single scoop of vanilla ice cream.
