Christmas has come early at Filinvest City in Alabang this year. The premier lifestyle destination in the “Metro South” (the southernmost sections of Metro Manila) offers the ideal live-work-play community for the city dwellers of today. And now, with the launch of “Christmas Comes Alive,” the area has transformed itself into a dazzling spectacle of Christmas enchantment.
On the sixth year of its holiday tradition, Filinvest City opened the Spectrum Linear Park to the public a few days ago.
Surrounded by the sparkling holiday decor and life-sized outdoor installations, guests of the launch were treated to songs sang by thespian performer Gian Magdangal. Aside from that, Legit Status’s flash mob and the ballerina’s performances added holiday cheer to the festivities.
The said park, where all the main events are held, have four themed sections such as “The Christmas Tree,” “Once Upon A Christmas Dream,” “Aboard the Christmas Train” and “Up, Up, and Away.”
To keep the holiday cheer alive, Filinvest City has slated various exciting events for everybody’s delight.
“Year in and year out, we set out to make Filinvest City as the most inviting holiday destination here in the Metro South,” says Don Ubaldo, head of townships. “This year, we are bringing it up a notch with Christmas Comes Alive. There are activities for everybody’s enjoyment and we have taken the festivities across Filinvest City.”
The Spectrum Linear Park will be filled with good music as well. Filinvest City has booked some of today’s hottest bands and artists to perform every Saturday at 8 p.m. Best of all, the concerts are open to all!

Rising electronic producer Wicked Adobo, who also performed at the launch, will kick start each show. Each concert will also be capped off by a grand fireworks display.
South-grown talents such as school chorale groups and community dance troupes will also fill the air with Christmas tunes and grooves every Friday.
Lastly, “Banchetto Filinvest City,” a weekend night market, will open from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. every Friday and Saturday. The market will feature a delicious and diverse assortment of food options for those who live, work and play in the city and neighboring provinces.
