“Simple. Smart ako.” — Hyun Bin
After days of setting the web ablaze, Smart Communications has finally dropped a 46-second commercial featuring Korean superstar Hyun Bin. The video, which debuted at around eight in the evening on the Smart Facebook page, is an instant hit, having garnered more than 213,000 views, 12,000 shares and 19,000 reactions (mostly hearts) as of this writing.
In the “game-changing” video, the be-dimpled Korean actor is seen driving around the city with his smartphone – and “the fastest mobile data network” at hand – as he promotes Smart’s Giga life. The much-talked about superstar then ends the video with his trademark smile, after being asked how he knows about “the Giga Life.” “Simple. Smart ako!” he answers.
Over at Smart.com.ph, the brand has also started to highlight exciting data offers that are being touted as some of the biggest that the telco brand has ever offered. Among them are the Smart GigaVideo, GigaWork and GigaGames, among others.
While Hyun Bin’s newest commercial for Smart has most certainly perked up everyone’s weekend, many are still awaiting for June 01, to see if there’s more of Captain Ri on the horizon. After all, it was Smart’s very own Captain MVP himself who tweeted that an “Ad online and tv will breakout on Monday, June 1, around noon.”
