Fashion designer Hannah Kong is now offering ready-to-wear pieces that bring her trademark elegance as a bridal wear designer to a wider market with the launch of her first-ever pop-up store at SM Aura Premier. This new venture represents a turning point in her career, making her exquisite designs more accessible and beyond bridal circles without losing the quality and craftsmanship that have become her signature.
At 37, Hannah’s clothes have been synonymous with meticulously crafted, one-of-a-kind bridal gowns that exude sophistication and grace. Her decision to enter the ready-to-wear market was driven by a desire to make her designs available to more women, offering a range of beautifully designed dresses, tops and skirts suitable for various special occasions.
“I’ve always wanted to create pieces that make every woman feel beautiful, whether she’s at a wedding or at any other important event,” Hannah shared.
Inside her pop-up store, visitors are greeted with a diverse selection of pieces that highlights Hannah’s aesthetic, while ensuring that her designs can now be worn and cherished by a wider audience.
Despite the buzz among fashionistas surrounding this new venture, the transition to ready-to-wear has presented its own set of challenges. “The challenge for me is figuring out the sizing and knowing what the market is looking for. Kasi custom ako, sanay ako na alam ko na ’yung sukat pag pumunta sa ’kin, so ’yun ’yung challenge for me. (Because I’m into custom-made clothes, I’m used to knowing client’s measurements when she comes to me. That’s a new challenge for me.) Learning what the market wants, and what they need,” Kong explained.
In crafting her ready-to-wear collection, Hannah draws inspiration from vintage styles, incorporating elements of classic femininity into her designs using florals, laces and beads.
Hannah’s first pop-up store is the beginning of a new chapter in her career. As she continues to navigate this new path, her commitment to quality and elegance will always be there to ensure her continued relevance on the changing fashion landscape.
