Love comes in many forms, but for Heart Evangelista, love also means taking care of herself and prioritizing her health, above all things.

Heart shared with select members of the media in a recent exclusive press conference for Zion Philippines how she makes it a priority to take care of herself, especially after a busy and jam-packed day.

“I do believe in power naps. I also believe that you need to get six to eight hours of sleep for your organs, mental health and recovery,” Heart said. “I’m always working, but I make sure that I get rest from time to time.”

Heart was recently named as the newest ambassador of Zion Philippines, a health and wellness brand that specializes in premium and high-quality massage chairs.

Founded in 2020, Zion Philippines has been providing comfort and relaxation for people with hectic schedules through its quality wellness products.  It boasts an impressive lineup of massage chairs, including its newest model, the Zion Executive Pro. Its special feature, the Volcanic Hot Stone Massage, provides a soothing and warm sensation that improves blood flow and circulation, and also eases the muscle pain and tension in the body. It also has user-friendly features and over 20 meticulously crafted massage programs to provide full relaxation.

“I don’t think there’s anything like it in the market. It’s so good, it’s like a ride in Universal Studios,” Heart said with a chuckle.

Heart also equated the massage chair to “love” just like her name, Love Marie.

“At the end of the day, we all have our set of problems, struggles and bills to pay,” Heart mused. “You have to invest on yourself and you need to put yourself first.”

The 38-year-old GMA actress also encouraged everyone to consider owning a Zion Executive Pro massage chair as a form of investment on themselves, especially for their physical as well as mental health.

“A chair like this is something that matters. You’ll be surprised if you put yourself first – how many other things you can do at the same time.” Heart assured. “It’s really an investment because, at the end of the day, you deserve the best.”

Asked if her fans could afford the massage chair, which approximately costs nearly half a million, Heart said, “all you have to do is ask me.” She suggested that they can “get a credit card and have it for two years to pay.”

“I know all the promos! Para-paraan lang (Just find a way through). If you want it, you can get it—that’s the truth,” the actress cheekily added.

Despite her busy schedule, it‘s admirable how Heart, one of the country’s most chic and most followed personalities, manages to stick to her personal routines and rituals before starting her day.

“I wake up very early in the morning and always make sure to have a quiet time.” She also regularly writes down on her journal to remind herself of the things that she is grateful for.

“It’s nice to always be grateful and assess your life. I also like listening to music and, as much as possible,  I like to have my dogs around me all the time. I feel like they are my angels,” Heart shared.

There also came a point in Heart’s life where she focused solely on work, but with constant reminders from her mother and the people around her, she eventually began to put more importance on taking care of herself.

Heart shares about the importance of self-care

“When you’re younger, you’re more of a people-pleaser. We just want to be accepted, I still want to be accepted. But then, because of all of the struggles in life, you realize your self-worth. Your self-care and the way you love yourself also change. It all goes up higher and higher until you realize how valuable you are. It definitely changes.”

Asked why this partnership matters to her, Heart said that both she and Zion Philippines support the same advocacy of prioritizing health and well-being.

“When they spoke to me about [the endorsement], it was very easy for me to decide. When you partner or collaborate with a company or brand, you need to have the same values,” she shared.

“I’m thankful that they’re also giving me a chance to have a voice, in a sense, to talk about how having a massage isn’t just about vanity – it’s about health, because health is wealth,” she concluded.
