After starring in their respective ads for Smart last year, reel- and real-life sweethearts Hyun Bin and Son Ye-Jin seemed poise to team up in the telco giant’s latest TV commercial to debut tomorrow, Valentine’s Day.

Fans of the Crash Landing on You stars were abuzz with excitement, as Smart  recently uploaded a 10-second teaser on Twitter captioned “Our biggest Valentine’s surprise is about to unfold. See you? #SimpleSmartAko #InSmartWeTrust.”

The teaser, which has garnered nearly 200,000 views as of this writing, featured a motorcycle-riding person wearing a helmet and zooming past a black sports car. The car’s driver, a man whose back was turned against the camera, later alights from his vehicle, as he tries to rendezvous with the mystery motorcyclist.

Adding fuel to fans’ speculations are the teaser’s graphics: “This Valentine’s Day, get K-kilig all over again.”

Bin and Ye-Jin, who graced succeeding covers of PeopleAsia’s sold-out issues last year, first appeared in their respective solo adds for Smart in 2020. At the height of the lockdown last May, a dashing Bin  made countless fans swoon and forget their worries, as his Smart ad featuring him driving a sports car debuted on TV.

It was Ye-Jin’s turn to bring smiles and spark hope among fans in August, as she debuted with her own TV ad for Smart. This time, the pretty actress was filmed zipping through the streets of Seoul on a Ducati motorcycle.

K-drama fans, who closely followed the two stars’ on-screen romance as unlikely lovers Ri Jung Hyuk and Yoon Se-ri in the hit Netflix series, experienced the ultimate kilig (giddy) moment when Bin and Ye-Jin made public their relationship this January.

No doubt, fans are bound to experience it all over again, as the two K-drama superstars light up the small screen anew in Smart’s latest pa-kilig.
