Just a 75-minute drive away from Manila, Villa D’Este is a serene haven where Tagaytay’s natural beauty is enhanced to evoke the countrysides of Italy. Since its opening in September 2023, the four-hectare luxury destination has become a go-to place for those seeking a blend of elegance, exclusivity, and celebration.
Villa D’Este is the culmination of a dream that began during the Esteban family’s travels to Venice in 2017. “We fell in love with the place’s architecture and culture, and we wanted to bring a piece of that magic back to the Philippines,” shares Mia Esteban, the estate’s general manager. “Our goal is to help families celebrate their milestones with a touch of Italy’s charm and grandeur.”
Special Celebrations
True enough, Villa D’Este has quickly established itself as a sought-after venue for weddings, debuts, corporate events, and even prenuptial and postnuptial photoshoots.
The grand Bellagio Pavilion, with its elegant architecture, can host up to 200 guests while providing a stunning backdrop for any celebration. For those looking for a more intimate setting, the Arezzo and the Glasshouse offer cozy, stylish spaces with breathtaking views of the sunset.
Outdoors, the Scilla and Sienna Gardens are ideal for events that blend nature’s vivid colors with an air of sophistication. For a more whimsical touch, the Giardino de Emma charms with its French countryside ambiance, providing a lush, picturesque setting that guests will remember long after the event.
Culinary Experience to Savor
Every celebration at Villa D’Este is elevated by exceptional culinary experiences. Collaborations with esteemed caterers such as Bizu, Juan Carlo the Caterer, and Josiah’s Catering ensure that each celebration is not just a feast for the eyes but also a delight for the palate.
Guests can even extend their experience by visiting nearby dining spots like Farmer’s Table or My Country House for a leisurely meal with family and friends.
“We want our guests to leave feeling rejuvenated, as if they’ve stepped into a different world, even if it’s just for a weekend,” Mia explains. The estate’s serene setting offers visitors a chance to unwind amid lush gardens, towering trees, and peaceful lake views.
Picture-perfect Memories
The estate is also a popular spot for photo shoots for couples, families, and even brands. From blooming gardens to elegant pathways, there are countless picture-perfect spots throughout the property. A standout feature is the gondola ride across the estate’s lake, reminiscent of Venice’s iconic canals. Guests can enjoy a romantic boat ride or capture timeless photos during their shoots, adding a magical touch to their Villa D’Este experience.
Adding to the estate’s appeal is its diverse range of accommodations, designed to provide guests with utmost comfort and a feeling of luxury. Guests can choose to stay in the grand Palazzo mansion, which offers a touch of opulence, or retreat to one of the charming villas for a more private, intimate experience. Each room is thoughtfully furnished, combining classic design with modern comforts to ensure a restful escape.
This early, Villa D’Este continues to grow and evolve, with plans to further enhance its offerings and create new experiences. The recent addition of the Emma Garden, inspired by the grandeur of the Palace of Versailles, is just one example of how the estate blends artistry with nature. Its future plans include more villas and rooms, as well as unique activities like fishing, sunset picnics, and morning coffee by the lake.
“We’re always looking for ways to make each visit special,” says Mia. “Whether it’s through our spaces, our service, or the little details, we want every guest to feel like they’ve had an unforgettable experience.”
