The woman blooms like an English rose, as fashion retail brand Karimadon presents its breathtaking collaboration with Filipino fashion designer Rosenthal Tee.
Karimadon started in the ’80s as a ready-to-wear boutique for women that carried elegant gowns, trendy casuals and sophisticated workwear pieces. Thirty-eight years later, the brand has expanded to more than 30 boutiques in the country, seven stores in Indonesia and even went farther than Asia as a distributor in Canada. In contrast, Rosenthal Tee, who wasn’t even born yet when Karimadon was established, is a young designer who has made waves in the local and international fashion scene with her playful designs over the last five years.
Josie Go, the woman behind Karimadon, firmly believes in putting attention to every single detail. It is for this reason that the brand houses a pool of designers that deliver original pieces that are on par with international fashion trends. So, when Josie met Rosenthal, she already knew then that their collaboration is a match made in heaven.
Dubbed as the “English Rose” garden collection, the new ensembles flaunt autumn touches of bold red, hunter green, navy and rust orange. Rosenthal, known for feminine aesthetics that radiate her beautiful and adventurous spirit, adds her trademark color palette of creams and pinks, which reflect the English rose. In terms of fabrication, Karimadon and their guest designer stay true to the brand’s vision of offering affordable luxury with the use of lush duchess satins and French tulle.
Both Josie and Rosenthal agree that this collection is made for the multi-faceted woman. You can be ultra-feminine or a little more into “athleisure,” but still find something that works for you in this collection. Rosenthal also shared that majority of the pieces come in sets, so you can have fun mixing and matching them based on your own preferences.
You can pair, for instance, a frilled sleeves top in bold red (left photo) and a high-waist bandage skirt (right photo) in the office and, for a night out with your girlfriends, later slip into a frilled high-waist shorts for a more comfortable outfit.
“This collection is really meant for women to play up in their own distinct style, and in a color palette that is timely for the holiday season but also without season,” Rosenthal concludes.
