Established in 1954, the Osaka-based company hopes to quickly expand its marketing efforts to reach out to more far-flung and underserved communities in the country via its cutting-edge dialysis machines, among other life-sustaining medical products.
Nipro Corporation, an Osaka-based company engaged in the manufacture of medical, pharmaceutical and glass products since 1954, including cutting-edge dialysis machines, recently expanded its presence globally, opening an office in the Philippines. With guests from the media and medical community, the Japanese multinational company formally announced the development recently over lunch at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in BGC.
Led by its president Takato Senoo, Nipro Medical Philippines Corp. (NMPC) offers, among others, high-quality renal and hospital products to better cater to the needs of Filipinos for quality medical devices. Prior to its expansion in the Philippines, Nipro was already familiar with the market, having sold its products to various authorized representatives over the decades.
With the opening of its office in the Philippines, Senoo hopes to better provide hospitals and dialysis centers with machines and equipment that are designed to enhance the quality of life of patients, especially those with renal problems. The development now enables Nipro to directly operate and sell its products beyond Metro Manila and other urban centers, as it hopes to quickly expand its marketing efforts to reach out to far-flung and underserved corners of the country, particularly in the south.
As a manufacturer of glass products, Nipro also produces syringes, including disposable syringes that have been proven to be lifesavers in the world’s vaccination efforts to stomp out COVID-19.
