SM Men’s Nico Bolzico’s life in denim

By Aubreylaine M. Salazar

When fashion fads fade, one has only his own style to work with. Thankfully, businessman, farmer, husband and SM Men ambassador Nico Bolzico has already mastered his personal style that emphasizes comfort and utility to keep up with his on-the-go lifestyle.

Nico Bolzico

Nico has thick, dark hair that crowns his head perfectly, strong, hard-to-miss facial features and a lean, muscular body that makes every outfit look like it was custom-made for him. People can’t help but assume that it probably takes a lot of time and money to get those perfect looks. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Usually clad in his trusty denim jeans and pristine white shirt, Nico would often go about his day with much ease. With model-like looks and the aura of a Greek god, this brawny Argentinian is a favorite of not a few fashion brands to be on their team.

Of course, Nico is more than just his covetable looks. PeopleAsia got the chance to ask El Bolzico to talk about his life. Let’s find out what it takes to be a man’s man with SM Men Ambassador Nico Bolzico.

Nico’s days

This man’s days are ordinary as can be. Just like any other fond pet owner, Nico takes good care of his three (rather interesting choice of) pets. He feeds his new furry baby dog Pochola, then the Instagram-favorite turtle Patato, and, finally, his cute little cat Negroni, as soon as he gets up in the morning. Nico takes pride in his little pets so much so that the three seem to have taken over a lot of his Instagram posts and stories (his growing number of followers should know) lately.

He then gets a good sweat by exercising from 6 to 7 in the morning, about six times a week, a must before starting his day. Apparently, he likes listening to Backstreet Boys while working out! Post-exercise, he takes a shower to wash off the sweat, then puts on his minimalist shirt-and-denim ensemble.

Now that he’s a married man to Solenn Heusaff, he also makes sure to take his work more seriously (especially with Solenn by his side). Born in the arable lands of Santa Fe, Argentina, Nico trained as a farmer. Yes, this hottie with regal looks is the type who’s not scared to get his feet wet and his hands dirty.

Having had his fair share of agricultural experience, he decided to put up an agricultural business, LM10 Corp. The company has invested in Philippine agricultural development by offering consultancy services and sharing techniques as well as technology to Filipino farmers.

When it comes to work, Nico mentioned that the office is never the same every day. He admitted that everything changes all the time. “We are all over the place–in the farms, in the factories in Mindanao, in the Visayas, in North Luzon, South Luzon, [and] Central Luzon,” he says.

Nico says that at the end of a busy day, “I go back to my wife who waits for me with open arms and loving me, if she’s not busy,” referring to the talented Filipina-French celebrity dubbed as one of the “It Girls” in Philippine pop culture.

When asked how it is to be Solenn’s loving husband, Nico say that it’s been great. “She’s probably the best person I’ve ever met in my entire life. She takes care of me so much, so, yeah, it’s actually great to be the husband of Solenn,” Nico shares. He believes that women are the strongest human beings in the world and they do everything for us. So, for him, it’s only fitting that he should respect and protect his wife all the time.

He’s also a walking repertoire of pranks and a goofball that never fails to come up with new ways to annoy Solenn, but that just seems to be one of the many charms that define El Bolzico. With his jaunty personality, the resident clown of Bolzico residences was unmistakably bound to draw the attention of fans and supporters. According to Nico, “People send you so much love, more than you’ll know, and I wish I could answer all of them.”

WRANGLER

Despite his popularity, he clarifies that he doen’t see himself as an influencer. The friendly entrepreneur says he’s just trying to do the right thing every day. “And if I can inspire people to do good things for themselves, for the country, for anyone, for their friends, for their family. And [also] if I can make them smile and laugh, because I’m a bit clownish and I’m happy, I’d do it,” he adds.

According to Nico, he also leads a very active lifestyle. Besides his work and home duties, he loves to run, play football, go outside, bask in the beauty of nature, mountains, lakes, forests and beaches. This statuesque man is not a person who would sit on the sofa for way too long, and would rather spend time to be with people he adores.

Denim as a lifestyle

It has been more than a year now since Nico was scouted by SM Men to be their brand ambassador. What with his sharp looks and impeccable style, SM surely would have missed a chance had they not gotten the dashing Argentinean.

The blue-eyed model tells us that being on board with SM has truly been a blast. He lauds the brand: “Everything I am and how I like to dress is very much in line with them especially because when we walk on the denim, the denim is basically what represents me the most. It’s my personality, it’s my past, [and] that’s what I do.”

It is imperative for a man like Nico to always dress fashionably without compromising comfort, which makes him all the more fitting to represent SM Men’s denim collection. He mentioned, “my lifestyle, of course, influences the way I dress because as I said, I work in the in agri business, [and] I’m mostly outside, so, of course I’m not gonna dress very high end.”

Amid metro man trends, El Bolzico proves that looking good does not always have to be so meticulous and taxing. He reveals that his go-to personal style is usually just denim pants, jeans, sneakers and a white t-shirt–that’s it! To flare up his minimalist look, he would put on a nice denim jacket. This timeless style staple has proven to be a key piece that elevates a look in more ways than one.

He’s also “100 percent” open to the idea of living in the archipelago for good (although he quipped that he has to learn Tagalog first). Surely, Nico is no foreigner to dressing up in relation to his lifestyle, as much as he’s no longer a foreigner to the Philippines.

Nico, who believes that being a gentleman is what defines being a man, says “Denim for me is basically home.” Armed with his wit and blue jeans, Nico is set to take on anything life has to offer.
