Royals have been living it up lately, and we commoners want in on the fun. Luckily for us, Sofitel is offering up some royal treatment at Le Grand Royal Brunch on Jan. 28. Inspired by the picturesque engagements of couples like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, Le Grand Royal Brunch is the first in a series of leisurely lunch gatherings to be held in the multi-awarded Spiral.
The brunch will be a feast for the senses as well as a thematic culinary production featuring dishes that were, quite literally, made for royalty at one point in time. There’s the Stuffed Bai Hua Fish Maw, which was created as a collagen-rich dish for Chinese emperors and their families, and Murg Shahjahani, a chicken dish from India first prepared in the Shahi Mughal Era for the Maharaja. There’s also Tiger Prawn in Basil Fried Noodles with Nam Jim Sauce, which was based on a favorite dish of the Thai princess.
Many grand offerings from Western cuisines make an appearance on the menu as well, from Pan-Seared Foie Gras and Zucchini Cannelloni to Tuna al Pesto with Crispy Garden Salad and Caviar with French Oysters. Diners and gourmands will be serenaded by Spiral’s live musical entertainment and given free-flowing champagne throughout the meal.
Guests will also be the first to see the newest collection of celebrity designer Albert Andrada. His Le Royal Collection is inspired by Britain’s Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, the stylish but rebellious sister of Queen Elizabeth II whose whirlwind romances took the headlines by storm.
Aside from culinary delights of royal proportions, diners will also get a chance to win prizes from Elizabeth Arden, Guerlain, Tefal Cookware, Cuisinart and Power Mac Center. Now that’s how you punctuate such magnifique meals!
