Designers Jason Wu and Vivienne Westwood have come on board to design a number of pairs in the Brazilian brand’s newest footwear series

With their newest “Melissa Family” collection, one of Brazil’s most popular footwear brands, draws inspiration from the comfort, security and intimacy of family through the use of classic staples, highlighted by contemporary touches and colors. The collection also showcases designer pieces by prominent names in fashion such as Jason Wu and Vivienne Westwood.
“We talk about family, but we want to secure the essence of Melissa’s DNA inspired by three moods: Nostalgia, Crew & the Cool, and the diverse 90’s,” says brand manager Joy Cortez-Dauz. “Through this collection, Melissa Philippines hopes customers experience and establish this connection with our new releases.”
During its launch held recently at Anahaw Manila House in Bonifacio Global City, a number of personalities from the world of fashion and lifestyle attended, including Tessa Prieto-Valdes, Kelly Misa and Daphne Oseña-Paez. Meanwhile, Janeena Chan hosted the day’s official festivities.
In addition, the launch also showcased a preview of Melissa’s Spring/Summer 2019 offerings. These include pieces such as the Melissa Mule II, Melissa Ultragirl Flower Chrome and the Melissa Puzzle.
