“It seems as if it was just yesterday when I was telling my husband about my dreams of pursuing the tablescape rental business,” said Casa Luxia founder Ginger King Villavicencio in her speech during the Casa Luxia anniversary celebration. “It’s been a year now, and here we are.”

The tablescape design and dinnerware provider Casa Luxia celebrated a successful year by hosting a dinner party at The Conservatory at The Peninsula Manila in Makati City last August 28. When Casa Luxia started, Ginger shared that she had reservations and fears that the business wouldn’t be well-accepted. For one, she said that it was a form of “pioneering,” considering that the tablescape business had its own niche in the lifestyle world.

But she was passionate about events. She knows the importance of detail in delivering a luxurious and memorable experience, whether it’s an intimate setting or a large event. And she applied that same passion to the business.

Currently, Casa Luxia has built a name for itself among Manila’s well-heeled tablescape setters for its beautifully assembled creations, which Ginger considers as “works of art.”

For this night, as well, Casa Luxia celebrated by displaying various tablescapes done by some of the best designers in the business. This included table settings done by industry leaders like Dave Sandoval, Gideon Hermosa, Kaye Garcia and Badang Rueda.

Fresh flowers, personalized ornaments and other “mood-setting details” are added to the Hermès, Megan Hess and Piero Fornasetti pieces that anchor most of the settings. Crystal and premium cutlery, meanwhile, are added for polish and elegance.

All in all, what sets Casa Luxia apart is not only that it has the materials to create a memorable event, but also because of its taste for luxury and refinement when it comes to curating table settings and its specific elements. The beauty of tablescapes, after all, is in the details.

“Although we have just begun, we are looking forward to many more collaborations, partnerships and dazzling events in the future,” she concluded.
