Alabang-based Acacia Hotel Manila recently announced its aim of boosting Alabang’s connectivity by connecting it with the rest of Metro Manila and beyond with Ascent, which styles itself as Asia’s first helicopter ride-sharing platform. Guests and even commuters can now seamlessly go to and from Alabang in a matter of minutes by booking their seats directly through the Ascent platform or via Acacia’s concierge.
The partnership enables users to skip traffic and change the way people move in and between cities like Muntinlupa, where Alabang is located, and, say, Makati. Since the service is available to everyone, even residents and business travelers within the area no longer have to wade through rush-hour traffic, as they regain control of their time between meetings across Luzon or simply with airport transfers from or to Ninoy Aquino International Airport and Clark International Airport.
The ride-sharing scheme, which either originates or ends at Acacia Hotel’s helipad, will also give guests the opportunity to elevate their mobility and leisure experiences like never before. In other words, the time they save could be used in more productive pursuits.
With prices starting at P11,900 per person, the helicopter ride from Acacia Hotel to, say, Makati or NAIA now takes 15 minutes or less. When coming from or to the airport, users will have a direct shuttle between their respective airport terminal and Ascent’s dedicated lounge facilities before flying off to Alabang.
“In line with our continued focus on being a key activity hub in Alabang, our aim is to increase Alabang’s connectivity for our guests alongside a remarkable experience through Filipino hospitality and excellent accommodations. We are glad that with Ascent, our guests can now enjoy a more connected Alabang without having to wait in traffic,” said Bobby Horrigan, general manager of Acacia Hotel Manila.
“With this partnership, we will be able to further boost connectivity of key businesses and commercial districts in the Philippines. With Acacia Hotel, Alabang is now more connected and accessible for Acacia’s guests, the business community and the community’s residents. The south’s central business district can now be easily connected with other CBDs and airports. At the same time, this development reaffirms our aim to promote the Philippines as an ideal destination in conducting business through urban aid mobility,” added Darren T’ng, co-founder and chief commercial officer of Singapore-based Ascent, which has an office in Makati.
To make its ride-sharing platform work and make cities more connected as well as save passengers’ time through fast and seamless air transportation, Ascent has built an ecosystem of best-in-class operators, heliports and hospitality providers like Acacia Hotel Manila. All of these are enabled by cutting-edge digital technology.
Both gentlemen vouched not only of the service’s efficiency, but also of its safety, as passengers get to fly in modern and fuel-efficient fleet of helicopters operated by “best-in-class operator” INAEC Aviation Corp. The Lopez-owned company, with offices at NAIA, boasts of an unrivaled track record when it comes to safety. It also claims to strictly abide by stringent international operational standards and is audited internationally to ensure the highest levels of safety, reliability and customer service.
