The air teemed with joy, romance and best wishes from family and friends gathered to witness the union of corporate executive Pianne Tobiano Sinfuego and long-time boyfriend Ryan Lavares recently. Even the weather and overall pleasant ambiance that sunny afternoon seemed straight out of a fairy tale.

From the romantic venue to the fabulous bridal gown to the celebrity singers who rendered love songs that resonated with the couple themselves, the Sinfuego-Lavares nuptials was undoubtedly a memorable event that brought together friends, family and prominent guests.

The mother of the bride, chemist Pinky Tobiano, was so emotional as the older of her two daughters walked down the aisle of St. Therese of the Child Jesus church in Lipa City, Batangas.

The ceremony was officiated by Fr. Macwayne Maniwang. The bride’s second father, Juancho Robles, walked her down the altar.

Reception followed at The Farm at San Benito, also in Lipa, Batangas, a serene and picturesque venue that mirrored the couple’s idea of what a dream wedding should be like.

The location’s lush greenery, tranquil ambiance and healing environment provided the perfect backdrop for Pianne and Ryan’s once-in-a-lifetime party. From the moment guests arrived, they were enveloped in a sense of calm that set the tone for the day’s event.

“The Farm is a beautiful venue and we were so blessed to be able to have our celebrations there,” gushed Pianne. “The place is known for its good energy and we felt it would be a wonderful place to start our new chapter in life surrounded by all this good energy and share it with the people that we love.

“My family frequents the farm, and Ryan and I have had a number of good memories together there as a couple,” she added.

As expected, people behind The Farm prepared an amazing feast for the couple and their guests. And complementing all that good food was the couple’s decision to host the reception outdoors under a canopy of twinkling lights and stars.

Planning her wedding was not a big challenge for Pianne. “I personally enjoy planning events, hence I was very involved and hands-on in the planning process of my wedding.

“I believe my previous experience in helping my mom organize her events and being the planner of my friend groups really helped me navigate through planning our wedding. Our schedules were pretty packed and we were meeting with suppliers and our coordinators almost every day, especially as the date came nearer,” she said

She continued, “We were very blessed, thanks to our coordinator, Christine Ong Te, our supportive mom Pinky Tobiano, along with our supportive family and friends. Most of the wedding planning itself was quite smooth and we hardly encountered major challenges during this time.

“If there were any challenges wedding-wise, I would have to say that it was really creating a solid timeline and sticking to our deliverables. Making sure we both stay healthy despite having really busy schedules.”

Top-notch entertainers, who are friends of the bride’s family, added glitter to the event.

Erik Santos sang Pianne’s bridal march. His rendition of “A Thousand Years,” which had a special musical arrangement made for the wedding, was so “heartwarming,” as described by the bride.

For the reception, Erik rendered his version of “Got To Believe,” a song he dedicated to the bride and groom. “Erik witnessed parts of our love story unfold from the beginning,” said Pianne.

Yeng Constantino, also a good friend of the family, belted “Ikaw,” which also accompanied the married couple as they trooped to the dancefloor for their first dance as husband and wife. Helping them make the perfect moves was the D’Grind, which choreographed their every step.

Moira dela Torre, a good friend of the bride, sang “Ikaw at Ako” after giving a short, heartfelt message for Pianne and Ryan.

Francis Libiran created the elegant and intricately designed wedding gown of the bride that shimmered in the afternoon sun. The couturier is not new to Pianne. He created her gowns for many milestones in her life, including her 18th birthday, as well as her graduations.

“I think every girl dreams of walking down the aisles in a Francis Libiran bridal gown,” Pianne declared. “I am so fortunate to have mine made by him. He was very hands-on throughout the whole process, making sure the dress suited my personality and accentuated my best features.”

Pianne and Ryan became mere acquaintances while they were both studying at the Ateneo de Manila University in 2013. They started dating in 2019, when they met again at a friend’s party.

Principal sponsors for the Sinfuego-Lavares altar date were former Ilocos Sur Gov. Luis “Chavit” Singson, Ambassador Joey Antonio, Ray Chiang, Rajiv Chandiramani, Cornerstone Entertainment’s Erickson Raymundo, Alilo Ensomo, Jr. and Preet Singh.

These gentlemen sponsors were paired with their female counterparts such as former Rep. Gina De Venecia, GSIS Board of Trustees and lawyer Merceditas Gutierrez, Lara Villafuerte, Carisa Laus, lawyer Marilou Ancheta-Mejica, Lourdes Po and Babes Feliciano.

For their honeymoon, the couple has set their sights on Africa, which they hoped to fly to within the year. In the meantime, the newlyweds hied off to Nay Palad in Siargao soon after their wedding for some much-needed R&R.
