The Philippine National Police (PNP) Batangas, led by PCol. Jacinto “Jack” Malinao Jr. partnered with St. Luke’s Medical Center to launch “Fit to Serve: A Program for the Wellness of Women Police Officers.” This initiative underscores the resilience, dedication, and well-being of women in law enforcement by providing essential health support tailored to their needs.
Held on March 24 and 25 at South Peak Garden & Events Place in Brgy. Banaba, Batangas City, the program focused on holistic well-being, addressing both the physical and mental health of Batangas police officers. The two-day event featured a comprehensive lineup of activities designed to support and empower the police officers of the PNP Batangas.
Kicking off the event was a blood donation drive, where over a hundred dedicated police officers stepped forward to contribute. Their collective efforts highlighted their unwavering commitment — not just to public service but also to saving lives through the simple yet impactful act of donating blood.

The second day was dedicated to female police officers, who participated in informative health discussions and essential medical services led by St. Luke’s esteemed medical professionals. Topics covered included mental health, heart health, nutrition counseling, and dental care, providing invaluable knowledge to help officers maintain their well-being.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., sent a congratulatory message emphasizing that the PNP Batangas Health and Wellness Event, in partnership with St. Luke’s Medical Center, underscores the nation’s commitment to the well-being of its law enforcement officers.
In a special video message played during the event, First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos also emphasized the importance of prioritizing the health of law enforcement officers: “Our police force plays a crucial role in ensuring peace and order in our communities. Their overall health should be a priority because a healthy police force is a strong force. Thank you to everyone who has taken steps to support the well-being of those who serve and protect us every day.”
Similarly, Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero highlighted the long-term impact of the initiative: “I hope that through the launch of this program, our police officers will be encouraged to prioritize their health—especially preventive healthcare—so they can avoid illnesses and manage existing conditions before they worsen.”
