Aiming to create excitement among Filipinos, AirAsia, in partnership with RCBC Bankard and Visa, has launched the new AirAsia credit card in the Philippines designed to make more people travel to their dream destinations faster with the airline. Along with their loyalty program, AirAsia BIG Loyalty will enable AirAsia credit cardholders to enjoy the lowest flight fares across AirAsia’s extensive network.

“We believe that the AirAsia credit card embodies the wanderlust spirit and the adventurous lifestyle of Filipinos. As such, it is also essential that the AirAsia credit card will be able to help Filipinos get access to financial services anywhere in the world,” shares  Simon Javier A. Calasanz, RCBC Bankard Services Corp. president & CEO, during the AirAsia credit card launch.

According to Visa’s data, travel is one of the top categories of Filipinos’ spendings. The partnership between AirAsia and RCBC Bankard enables them to create a credit card that encompasses exciting travel benefits for Filipinos. With this credit card, Filipinos can enjoy flight fares at competitive prices and the travel benefits that come along with it, while earning additional rewards when they spend using their cards.

“It is our commitment to work closely with our partners to create products and services that are relevant to our cardholders, so they continue to enjoy the perks of using digital payments in the country,” says Stuart Tomlinson, Visa country manager for the Philippines & Guam.
