Leading French skincare brand Isispharma was officially launched in the Philippines, in partnership with top skincare brand distributor, DMark Beauty.
French skincare brand Isispharma was recently unveiled in Manila at the Shangri-La at The Fort in an exclusive event, which gathered more than 250 dermatologists and medical experts. Topnotch skin experts Dr. Evangeline Handog, Dr. Marie Socouer Oblepias and Dr. Johannes Dayrit discussed solutions for pigmentary disorders, acne, rosacea and other common skin disorders.
At the same time, the brand introduced three dermatologist-tested skincare solutions namely Ruboril, Neotone and Teen Derm. Tested and dispensed by over 14,000 dermatologists in eight countries, the three prescription skincare products promise efficient and fast results, providing treatment for skin disorders such as hyperpigmentation, rosacea, vitiligo and acne, among others.
Acquired in 2002 by the DEWAVRIN Group, Isispharma was founded in 1987 by Christian Diehl, a pharmacist based in Bourg-en-Bresse, France, to focus on the skin’s natural balance – homeostasis – and the imbalances to create solutions that help regain healthy skin.
Isispharma is a global pioneer in treating skin disorders — from hyperpigmentation, rosacea and vitiligo to usual concerns such as stubborn acne. Over 14,000 dermatologists recommend its products in 80 countries. Its three transformative product lines are proven to preserve and restore the skin’s natural balance.
Neotone, one of Isispharma’s most popular products, offers a range of complete skincare solutions designed to cleanse the skin, and correct and prevent the appearance of dark spots. It uses the innovative patented complex DEPI-ACT, an essential ingredient that addresses each stage of melanin production.
Meanwhile, Teen Derm is designed for oily skin. It regulates excess sebum with avocado oil esters, then purifies and exfoliates the skin’s surface. Boswellia extract, along with its anti-inflammatory properties, soothes damaged skin so patients can enjoy intensely hydrated skin. Teen Derm carries the patented Alpha-Pure complex, with clinically proven efficacy after 28 days, containing active ingredients to address all stages of the development of imperfections.
Ruboril products, on the other hand, offer a solution for redness. It contains the patented β-Calm complex, which helps strengthen the capillary walls, reinforce the skin’s barrier, hydrate and soothe the skin. The Ruboril range of products have been meticulously formulated to address varying levels of redness and severity.
According to Isispharma Dermatologie director of international marketing communications Victoria Zon, the Philippines is the sixth Asian market where the brand is now available. As Zon sees it, a big chunk of the Southeast Asian market is prone to pigmentation spots.
“A lot of young people are aware of their skin problems and the importance of skincare, and we are committed to providing effective treatment for these issues. It’s very important for us to have a huge presence here in the Philippine market. We are also present in Mongolia, Vietnam, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Many individuals [from these countries] suffer from rosacea but are often misdiagnosed. And this comes as an opportunity for us as a brand to come up with an appropriate brand and product,” she tells PeopleAsia. She also recommends consulting with a dermatologist before using these products.
Since Isispharma is a product produced in France, does it work well with the typical Filipino skin type?
Zon assures that their products are not just produced in laboratories. They make sure to validate the product’s concept with dermatologists, skin experts and key opinion leaders (KOLs) around the world. Moreover, Isispharma’s entry into the Philippine market increases the available options for dermatologists and their patients.
“We are the only skincare brand with 15 percent azelaic acid, which is really unique because it can target inflammatory processes, acne and rosacea. We have a great combination of products to combat pigmentation spots – like night serum- as well as a day treatment to help battle pigmentation and provide protection. I think this is the key point, specifically in a market like the Philippines, where the sun shines the whole year. We have to protect the skin the whole year,” says Zon.
Korean skincare is a popular trend these days, especially among the younger generation. However, it is important to note that Isispharma offers a different type of skincare. While Korean skin care often focuses on achieving a glowy, glass-like complexion, Isispharma targets more severe skin issues such as acne, pigmentation, rosacea and various pathological skin disorders and diseases.
“For over 30 years, we have been studying the skin’s natural mechanisms and imbalances to preserve and restore its homeostasis, thanks to effective solutions that respect your skin.
