Richard and Lucy, Ultherapy’s newest endorsers, remain everyone’s “couple goals”

When it comes to availing themselves of beauty procedures to delay or even reverse tell-tale signs of aging, women still outnumber men, nine to one. While women, apart from being more adventurous in trying out new procedures, are more patient in sticking to a particular schedule to achieve their desired goals, men understandably prefer one-time procedures with no need for constant follow ups. That’s why Ultherapy may be the best treatment for them.

Ultherapy unexpectedly became a bonding moment between Lucy Torres-Gomez and Richard Gomez, as the wife convinced the husband to try the non-invasive procedure.

Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez and Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez have always been known as “couple goals,” with their love story having been witnessed and watched closely by their countless fans and constituents. As the newest faces of Ultherapy, coming in after such icons as Kris Aquino, Pia Wurtzbach and Charo Santos, among others, they’re also a power couple in more ways than one, having grown closer together after more than two decades of marriage.

What’s their secret? “It’s just loving each other in small ways and big ways,” Lucy shared, prior to a recent media event at Shangri-La at the Fort, formally introducing them as the non-invasive procedure’s newest endorsers. “We allow each other time for ourselves and I think that’s what makes it so much easier for us to love each other better.”

Both Richard and Lucy embody what it means to embrace a better version of themselves for others, making them the perfect ambassadors for #UltherapyForTwo, which is Ultherapy’s newest campaign that champions how taking care of yourself allows you to take better care of the people around you.

Lucy: “I’ve had Ultherapy done before, and I really swear by it. It made me look and feel younger and made me feel like I could take on more. The impact that it had on me made me want Richard to try it too!”

“We don’t really get a chance to work with each other very often, so this was the perfect chance to spend more time together,” said Richard. “We’re far apart on a daily basis, so we really take any chance we can get to be together. When I had my Ultherapy treatment done, it was even bonus bonding time for us!”

Many men have yet to be more vocal about how they take care of themselves, but Richard is open about wanting to make sure every aspect of his life is looked after. “Tayong mga lalaki, we have to be more open to these things,” he said. “You’re just pushing yourself to be a better, more confident version of yourself. And that will also affect the people around you.”

According to the couple, it was Lucy who got Richard to explore how to level up in taking care of himself. “Whether it’s her work, her parenting, or her commitment to being a better version of herself—all of it has made me want to do better and be better,” he said.

On Lucy’s end, Ultherapy allowed her to find extra time for herself without sacrificing time spent on her family and work. “No matter how busy I am because of work and being a mom and wife, I make sure there’s room to slip in some me-time, the way I do with Ultherapy. It’s so easy to incorporate into my schedule too,” she said. “You take care of the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of your life so that everything comes together.”

Ultherapy, which was first introduced nine years ago and is now available in many leading beauty clinics all over the world, is the only device the promises a tout, more contoured jawline and certain sections of the face without the patient having to undergo any invasive procedure. By way of micro-focused ultrasound, it penetrates deep into the a person’s muscles to lift and tighten the skin on the brow, under the chin, neck and chest.

Overtime, it stimulates the body’s own natural healing process, which jumpstarts the production of fresh, new collagen. According to a press literature, the use of safe and time-tested ultrasound technology  enables physicians to see and then treat the deepest support layers of the skin without cutting or disrupting the surface.

The procedure normally takes around 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the treatment area. Afterwards, the patient can return to normal activities right away without the need to observe any special measures. Results gradually appear over two to three months, as new collagen works to lift and tighten skin. Further improvements can appear up to six months after the procedure as the collagen-building process continues.
