With 13 years of producing some of the world’s most innovative TVs, Samsung adds another cutting-edge masterpiece to its proud succession of TVs with the QLED 8K TV.

“Over the past years, what we watch, when we watch and how we watch have fundamentally changed,” says Samsung TV and audio head of product marketing Lauro Guevara. “Today, more consumers are looking to enjoy their favorite content on larger and smarter screens, with minimal image noise, for a viewing experience that’s almost true-to-life.”

Launched together with Samsung’s 2019 full TV lineup at the Fifth ballroom in Rockwell, Makati City, the QLED 8K TV was part of a larger selection that also featured new QLED 4K TVs and 2019 Soundbars.

To compete with other brands in the market for premium quality TV screens, Samsung’s QLED 8K TV features a new Quantum Processor 8k, which produces images in greater detail and depth. With a 7680 x 4320 resolution, and with more than 33 million pixels, the QLED 8K TV was made for “fully immersive and pristine viewing.” Meanwhile, the QLED 8K TV’s AI upscaling function (which automatically converts lower-resolution content into 8K quality) and Direct Full Array technology neutralize the noise for a smoother and clearer viewing experience.

The Bixby on TV is also one of the 2019 QLED lineup’s highlights, as it enables viewers to access films and shows through voice command.

Samsung Philippines president James Jung concludes: “This year is also Samsung Electronics’ 50th anniversary of meaningful innovations. These milestones provide important context, as we introduce a product that we believe will forever change the future of TVs.”
