Spoiler alert: It looks like Captain Ri isn’t in North Korea (or Switzerland), anymore. Smart Communications recently unveiled a nine-second teaser video — featuring a dapper Hyun Bin driving around in a sleek black car — which is poised to bring the Korean superstar closer to his fans in the Philippines.
While Smart was pretty cryptic in its post, the MVP Group’s big boss Manny V. Pangilinan wasn’t quite as coy. “Yes. Hyun Bin it is. Ad online and TV will breakout on Monday, June 1, around noon. Go go go Smart!” tweeted MVP about the telco giant’s newest endorser.
For those of you living under a rock, Hyun Bin is the heartthrob who plays the enigmatic Captain Ri in the hit series Crash Landing on You, a series about an heiress (played by Song Ye-Jin) who accidentally flies over the North Korean border, and inadvertently starts the love story of a lifetime.
