Sofitel is celebrating marvelous mothers this May

With pop culture’s obsession with superheroes, Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila has decided that it;s time to celebrate one of our favorite heroes—mothers! The luxury hotel will be honoring our moms from May 11-13, 2018 with a gastronomic presentation of the beloved home-cooked dishes that we were raised on.

The Spirals Master Chefs will be collaborating with celebrity moms Christine Jacob-Sandejas and Suzi Entrata-Abrera to create family-centric dishes like Calamari Fritti, Beef Lasagna, Tiramisu, Curry Salmon Maki, Moroccan Chicken Tagine and Banana Chia Pudding. The chefs will also create dishes that honor home cooking all over the world such as Beef Tongue with Pickled Sauce from the French atelier, Yong Tau Fu or vegetables stuffed with minced seafood and brown bean sauce from the Chinese station, Bengali Mustard Fish Curry from the North Indian atelier, Flower Pork Shabu-Shabu by the Japanese chefs and Clam Stew with Basil from the Thai station. The lunch rates throughout the weekend are P2,750 per person on May 11, P3,450 per person on May 12 and P4,655 on May 13, while the dinner rates are set at P3,550 per person.

There’s also a Mother’s Day Special poolside barbecue buffet at the Sunset Bar throughout the Mother’s Day weekend from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. This al fresco feast will feature Filipino style grilled seafood and meats, fresh salads, native deserts and tropical fruits, as well as free-flowing iced tea and cocktails. As a special treat, moms get a complimentary glass of wine while everyone will be treated to live musical entertainment. The rate is set at P3,119.75 per person.
