Behind each exquisite gown, elegant baro’t saya and dashing barong lies an intricate process of preparation — from the designers who invest countless hours infusing their creations with Filipino artistry, to the wearers of these ensembles who whose sartorial choices capture their vision.

Why do people really dress up for SONA? If you ask me, it is not merely a fashion show or a quest for superficial allure. It is an ode to history and a tribute to the importance of this momentous occasion. True enough, the red carpet has drawn as much interest for decades now, what with the exquisite parade of Philippine fabrics that usually precede the SONA itself, this time delivered by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Attending the SONA means contributing to the narrative of the nation’s progress, where fashion becomes a language of its own. Each ensemble tells a unique story of its wearer, representing different regions, cultures, and advocacies. It is a symphony of stories, a tapestry woven with threads of dedication, heritage and unyielding preparation.

As we gather to witness the grandeur of SONA and the elegance of the featured looks, we celebrate the living legacy of the Philippines — its past, present, and future. Through this tapestry of fashion, we pay homage to the nation’s diverse heritage, fortitude and aspirations. Join us in a world where elegance intertwines with history, where each carefully chosen garment becomes a brushstroke in the portrait of a nation, and where the essence of the Filipino spirit shines brightly for all to see.
