St. Dwight is now a man of steel

The Gilas Pilipinas cager teams up with iconic watch brand G-Shock for its recently launched “Tough Like You” campaign, which also trains the spotlight on the new G-Steel series.

Clad in a white jacket and flashing his pearly whites, basketball star Dwight Ramos looked every inch a star as he made his debut as brand ambassador for the renowned watch brand at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.

Taglined “Tough Like You,” the new campaign is a tribute to men and women who “out-tough the tough world,” day by day.

In line with this, the 25 year-old cager also brought with him his fair share of “tough” stories and shared them with the audience. “My biggest challenge was coming to the Philippines from America. It was a scary jump. But the obstacles, they were tough for me, but I guess, I was just tougher than them,” said the Fil-American point guard, who currently plays for the Levanga Hokkaido team of the Japanese B. League.

Standing at 6’4,” Dwight also thanked his fans for coming out to support him in his latest endeavor. He also confessed to members of the press and VIP guests that prior to stepping out of his house earlier that morning, he found his dog chewing on his watch from the GBM-2100 series, “which still looks brand new,” despite of it.
