Taste the flavors of Asia with Oishi’s The World of O, Wow! Bag

70 years — that’s how long Liwayway Marketing Corp. has been satisfying Filipinos’ snack cravings, which, let’s face it, they have all the time. And if the company name doesn’t ring any bells, that’s because you might be more familiar with its commercial name, Oishi!

Originally established in 1946 as a cornstarch packaging family enterprise, Oishi has gone leaps and bounds from its humble beginnings to being a household name and all-time favorite Pinoy snack brand.

The company has brought us classics like Oishi Prawn Crackers, Kirei, Bread Pan, Ribbed Cracklings, Pillows, Marty’s, Potato Fries and Ridges, to say the very least. (Hungry yet?)

Now, with an ever-growing roster of products, Oishi has also been capturing hearts — or should we say, stomachs — in other countries in Asia like Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, India and China.

This Christmas, Oishi brings all their Asian flavors together in one awesome snack explosion in The World of O, Wow! Bag. Check out what The World of O, Wow! Bag of Oishi’s Asian flavors has to offer in this list.

Vietnamese snacks

Two popular Vietnamese Oishi snacks are Tomati, a tasty sweet-sour snack made and flavored with tomatoes and on the sweeter side, coconut flavored Pillows.

Indonesian nibbles

Indonesians have the Suky Suky Sweet & Spicy Shrimp snack to go crazy over — a Southeast Asian-inspired that sweetly glazes shrimp crackers and tops them with sprinkled chili flakes.

A taste of Thai

True to their culture, Makado Sticks Larb Flavor is a Thai-style potato snack that will appeal to other Asian snack lovers that took its inspiration from larb, a popular savory meat dish in Thailand and neighboring countries. Another original snack from Thailand is O-pa-la, chocolate covered potato chips.

Chips from China

Carrying the authentic taste of American baby back ribs, Potato Chips Baby Back Ribs is a hit in the Chinese market. Meanwhile, another option of healthier yet equally tasty snack comes in the form of Whits Original that’s made with semolina oil, oats, whole wheat and sunflower oil.

More from the Philippines

Pinoy favorites like Wafu, a wafer-stick snack with creamy leche flan filling are going to make a comeback. Newer snacks will also be in the mix like Ziggs, a chocolate covered granola clusters snack, Panchos, nacho cheese tortilla chips, Crunchy Karl’s, a cheesy curly-shaped corn snack and Mobster’s Caramel and Cheese Popcorn which is an delicious response to the well-known Chicago treat.

The Oishi World of O, Wow! Bag will be available at Ayala Triangle on Dec. 16-18 during the Festival of Lights lights show. Drop by Oishi’s Snack Shack booth to get your own mini-giant packs and Oishi Christmas gift packs! (Contents of each Oishi World of O, Wow! Bag may vary).
